Alligators generally mature at a length of 6 feet. Unlike crocodiles, the upper jaw of alligators are wider than the lower jaw and completely overlaps it. The most distinct part is their shape of the jaw. The easiest way of telling apart crocodiles from alligators is to look at their noses. Alligators have a wide "U"-shaped, rounded snout whereas crocodiles tend to have longer and more pointed "V"-shaped noses. The broad snout of alligators is designed for strength, capable of withstanding the stress caused to bone when massive force is applied to crack open turtles and hard-shelled invertebrates which form part of their diet. If an alligator has hunted down a fish, other alligators around it would fight for the dish. It seems has an invisible rule in their world. The senior wins and the junior maims. They always bite each other's snout while fighting. Once an alligator lose its snout, it will become the last one to eat because it has lost its only weapon to fight. ReplyDeleteAlligators are only native to the United States and China. They live in freshwater environments. Long mouth, sharp teeth, short extremities, thick skin. Alligators generally mature at a length of 6 feet. Unlike crocodiles, the upper jaw of alligators are wider than the lower jaw and completely overlaps it. The most distinct part is their shape of the jaw.
The easiest way of telling apart crocodiles from alligators is to look at their noses. Alligators have a wide "U"-shaped, rounded snout whereas crocodiles tend to have longer and more pointed "V"-shaped noses. The broad snout of alligators is designed for strength, capable of withstanding the stress caused to bone when massive force is applied to crack open turtles and hard-shelled invertebrates which form part of their diet.
If an alligator has hunted down a fish, other alligators around it would fight for the dish. It seems has an invisible rule in their world. The senior wins and the junior maims. They always bite each other's snout while fighting. Once an alligator lose its snout, it will become the last one to eat because it has lost its only weapon to fight. Usually they suffer starvation to death.

ReplyDeleteEveryone has an embarrassing experience. It is difficult to react when people coincide an embarrassing situation. For example, fall down the stairs in public, bump against a clean glass window or a door.... There are many embarrassing events happen day to day.
As I see it, the most embarrassing experience I have ever had is to "let on" in the tiny space, which often happens in elevator. This physical phenomenon is difficult to control. The only situation will be is "an Elephant in the room". Everyone knows that what is going on, but no one will blurt out such an awkward occasion.
If you are the person who often coincide embarrassing things, maybe you should cover your face with mask to avoid people recognizing you!

Also known as Stiff-leg, Wooden-leg, Nervous or Scare Goats. Fainting goats are quite special because they look as if they have really fainted after being startled.
Fainting goats have an inherited condition called congenital myotonia, which causes their muscles to lock up. When they are excited or scared, some freeze up and collapse on the other side, while others brace themselves on rigid legs. And their large, prominent eyes are another noticeable characteristic.
The name is actually a misnomer because the goats never lose consciousness when they fall over. The condition lasts for 10 to 15 seconds, after which the goats will get up and run in a stiff-legged fashion.

However, the Chinese white dolphins are endangered. Because of the water pollution, their amounts are decreasing recently. They are now in the pact which is forbidden in international trade. There are also laws to protect them. I hope they will not disappear in the far future.

Although meerkats are small, they have strong claws to help them dig out their underground homes. They also use their claws to find tasty insects in the dirt. No matter what they are doing, one or two meerkats always go to higher place where they can prevent danger. The brave animals even give their own lives to protect each other.
Meerkats show that even the smallest and weakest of creatures can survive in the African grassland.

The most obvious characteristic is the precious "single horn" which sticks out from its supramaxilla. Actually, the "single horn" is not a real "horn". The "horn" is a tooth which is about two hundred meters.
They have a relatively restricted diet. Greeenland halibut, shrimp, wolffish and Gonatus squid consist of their prey. The color of their skin is fundamentally white, and there are many black dots that scatter on their back. About their habitual behavior, they use to swallow the prey but don't use their "horn" to poke them.
Owing to their precious "horn", they have been slaughtered by some cruel dealers and aboriginals and their "horn" had been sold to make a great deal of profits. Nowadays, they had been included in the group of endangered species. For protecting them, we should prevent ourselves from buying and using the products which is made up of any part of them.

ReplyDeleteFormosan Black Bear is a kind of distinctive animal in Taiwan. Just as its name, their body covered with a thick coat of black fur. But most interesting part, the fur around their neck is white. According to this, they are also known as "white-throated bears".
Formosan Black Bear are the largest land animal in Taiwan. They are 130-160cm in length, 60-70cm high at the shoulder, weigh on average 95-120kg. But this size is not big at all in bear kingdom.
On Account of people hunting, Formosan Black Bear are in danger of extinction. How to protect them from extinction, it’s a biggest problem waiting for solved.

ReplyDeleteSpider is a commom creature that it can be easily seen around us. Thought it looks like an insect, it's not. Insect is defined as a creature with six legs. But spider has eight. They are often categorized as an insect because they look like an insect.
Spider is a gifted hunter. It has many great weapons. It can make a web as a trap for games and make them as its food. Some of the spider have strong legs. So they can run fast to chase their games. After they get their games, they will inject poisonous fluid into the game's body to make it died and eat it.
Most of spiders have a terrible appearnce. But they help people a lot for they can kill vermins. Next time when you see it don't get afraid for its appreance. In terms of killing vermins, they do help people a lot.

Kindness,enthusiastic,friendly and the human touch are the most obvious feature in Taiwan. Whoever you are,wherever you come from,people in Taiwan always welcome every guests enthusiastically. Although the area is small and is crowded with about twenty-three million people,the cultures and the variety of creatures aren't inferior to other countries.
There are a lot of delicious food in Taiwan such as pearl milk tea,beef noodles,stinky tofu,and so on. Taipei 101 is a good resort and landmark which had ever been the highest building in the world. Night market is also a special culture in Taiwan. You can buy almost everything there.
Taiwan is really a good place where people worth visiting. You may be surprising that Taiwan full of fun and beauty. Come to Taiwan for fun,you will get an unforgottable memory.
